Hello my darlings, how was everyone’s weekend? Ours was nothing less than perfection. We spoiled ourselves with a room at the Fairmount Waterfront, which had an amazing view of the harbor. Friday night we waited 2 hours for a table at the incredible, gourmet Indian restaurant Vij’s (they don’t take res and only have about 15 tables) and I can say without hesitation that it was totally worth it. Not only did they come round with delicious appetizers during the wait, but (unless I am very much mistaken) we were waiting with Sofia Coppola! Such fun! The food was absolute divinity, spiced to perfection, with complex flavors unfolding for hours on the tongue. Saturday night we continued the decadent trend with drinks at Uva Wine Bar and dinner at Cibo Trattoria. I am usually a pretty hard sell when it comes to Italian cuisine, having spent far too many lovely nights enjoying the real thing, but I have to say the chefs at Cibo nearly made me forget we weren’t in Italy. We had great fun getting to know the head mixologist at Uva, Trixsy, who sweetly let us sample a few of her concoctions and devised the perfect cocktail for each of us. I am a sucker for anything that involves St. Germaine, gin and elderflower. Or bourbon and absinthe. Mmmm.
I could go on for days but realty calls and I must answer. Luckily, I have a couple lovely Bits for this Monday. Feast your eyes and ears on this gorgeous new video by Holly Throsby for her single, “What I Thought of You”. From Holly’s website:

Last week we had yet another snow fall, and temperatures have remained low. I am so very ready for Spring! And so it seems are all the wishful flowers pocking their brightly colored heads up through the ground. Until then, I would love to wrap myself in these delicious vintage camp blankets from Three Potato Four.
