“Dreaming” Show Reception

Last week’s artist reception for the Brackenwood Gallery show, “Dreaming,” went off swimmingly. Here are a few looks from what was a truly lovely evening. Thank you again to all who came, it was a great turnout! Your love and support means so much.

Once again, the show features five new paintings by moi, as well as works by a four local artists, and will be up through October 28th.

“Dreaming” Art Opening

To all my lovely Seattle region readers:
The group show, Dreaming, featuring five of my new paintings opens October 5th in Langley on Whidbey Island, with a private reception on Friday, October 4th, from 5pm-7pm. The show will be held at Brackenwood Gallery. If you have the time and inclination come on by and say hello! The show runs through October 28th, so if you are unable to make the opening, there is still plenty of time to swing by for a look.

Bayon Sunrise for the Summer Solstice

Wishing you all a happy summer solstice! Thought I’d share a few photos of a glorious sunrise we experienced at Bayon, Angkor Thom – part of our adventures in Cambodia and Vietnam. I still recall the immense feeling of peace, the sun just beginning to warm those beatific smiling faces, the jungle waking up around us.

These past weeks have been filled to bursting. May is nearly done and I’ve been so focused, I was hardly aware of it’s passage. I thought I’d share a few of the sights and sounds that have so occupied my world of late.

Good music. Always. Here’s a lovely ditty from Taken By Trees: “Dreams.” Taken By Trees is the solo project of former Concretes singer, Victoria Bergsman. Incidentally, Victoria is yet another Swede.

We’ve built and painted a dozen chalkboard signs for the wedding (can’t wait for you to see them in action!), and thought we’d use some of the leftovers to paint the inside of one of our cupboards. I’m thinking to fill it with handy measurement conversions and such.
