Three Months

What what what?! It seems impossible but yes, Mr. Quentin is three months old today. I’ve snatched a few moments to share some photos from the past month or so (excuse the low quality cell pics…it is now a rare event indeed for mama to be able to bust out the real camera). I would also like to make it known that I do intend to return to other topics one day, but I know you will forgive this doting mother, as my whole world is currently contained within this little man. In Gratitude

I had grand visions of sending out proper thank you cards to each of you angels, but all hopes of that have flown to the wind along with such … Continue reading

On September 9th, we welcomed Quentin Thomas Dubail, a big healthy boy at 8 lbs, 10 oz and 21 inches long. He’s such a special little being, and we’re completely enamored already.

They call it an estimated due date. Yet after 40 weeks of responding to seemingly endless “When are you due?” inquiries, one does tend to put more weight than is strictly prudent on said date. For us, yesterday was that day. September 3rd. The great Response. But instead of having a baby (in fairness, only 5% of women give birth on their due date), I spent the day tidying up for the umpteenth time and engaging in a bit of light pruning. I’m fairly sure that in my case, the so called “nesting” period right before labor will be difficult to recognize since I’ve already been spied on a step-stool, scrubbing the bathroom ceiling. Yeah.

At any rate, I thought this might be a good time to give you a look at a project I recently completed for the nursery. Designed on a whim, and completely hand-sewn, this little mobile … Continue reading
