Next Steps: Gage Academy of Art

July 27th, 2011 4 Comments

I have some exciting news to share with you this morning, my dears. I’m going back to school! I’ve been waiting until everything was squared away to announce this, so now that I’m accepted and have laid down a deposit I figure it’s about as official as it gets. Beginning in September I will be a full time student at the Gage Academy of Art Classical Atelier! This program is taught by the immensely talented Seattle artist, Juliette Aristides, and runs through mid-June. I am absolutely thrilling to get back to making art full time, and so looking forward to working under the tutelage of a master artist like Juliette.

One order of business that has weighted on my mind with this impending September change is upkeep of dizzy! As a full time student, I may have to cut back on the frequency of posts, though certainly not on the content! You can likely expect more art related posts, but I would love to hear your thoughts. What kinds of posts do you most enjoy? Recipes? Music? Art? Fashion? Photos and life? Would you like posts to continue much as they are or boil down to focus just on a few topics? I would so appreciate if you have a moment to jot down your thoughts.

Thank you all for your help and support!

Yay, congratulations! I can’t wait to see what you produce. I think a classical training is so helpful and important in whatever type of art work you want to do!

I have really enjoyed your blog, so I hope you keep it up. I especially like the Fashion, Art, and Life/ Photos!

Hope to see you in person one day soon – or I’ll just have to come find you at Gage 🙂

Thanks for all your wonderful thoughts Merce! And I hope to see you soon, too! Let me know if you’re going to be in the city anytime soon and we could grab a nice cuppa together! Or come visit me at Gage. 😉
